Stretcher was brought in to take Mustafizur Rahman off the field | GettyBangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman was stretchered off the field during the third ODI against Sri Lanka in Chattogram on Monday (March 18).

Mustafizur, who had picked up two wickets for 39 runs in his nine overs, was not able to get up on his own after bowling the first delivery of his final over with shortened run-up.

The left-arm pacer was in such a bad shape that he was helped by a couple of his mates to get up. He was cramping up all over his body and the stretcher was eventually brought in to take Mustafizur off the field.

Soumya Sarkar bowled the over in his place and returned with the wicket of Maheesh Theekshana while conceding five runs.

Coming to the match, Bangladesh bundled out Sri Lanka for a below-par 235 in the series finale. Janith Liyanage waged a lone battle for the visitors, scoring 101 not out off 102 balls with 11 fours and 2 sixes.

Taskin Ahmed starred the ball for Bangladesh, returning with the figures of 3/42 in his 10 overs. Mehidy Hasan Miraz also claimed a couple of scalps.

After the first two ODIs, the series is evenly poised at 1-1. The winner of the ongoing third ODI will clinch the series.
