Saurabh Tiwary expressed deep admiration for legendary cricketer MS Dhoni, hailing him as the "God of Jharkhand cricket." Dhoni, who hails from Ranchi, holds a unique record of being the only captain to have won all three major ICC tournaments.
The former Indian skipper won the T20 World Cup 2007, ODI World Cup 2011, and the Champions Trophy 2013, and he is regarded as one of the greatest captains the game has ever seen.
Well, Tiwary stressed that Dhoni's achievements have significantly elevated the recognition of Jharkhand in the cricketing world while hailing his exceptional leadership qualities.
Saurabh Tiwary told Sports Now: “MS Dhoni is the God of Jharkhand cricket. Ever since he started playing for India, people started knowing us as a team. They came to know where Jharkhand is. MS Dhoni gave us confidence and whenever he is around or in the town, he comes to attend our practice sessions. Sometimes, he takes part in the warm-up games also. His support is everything for us.”
Tiwary added, “Dhoni bhaiya gives a lot of freedom when he is leading the team. He will stand by you even if you are not performing. Apart from leading the team, when Dhoni bhaiya is standing behind the wicket, he helps bowlers a lot. He would tell you how the wicket is responding and also he will help you with accurate field placements.”
