Hardik Pandya | GettyIndia all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who sustained an ankle injury during the World Cup 2023 match against Bangladesh, recently made his return to competitive cricket with the DY Patil T20 Cup 2024 for Reliance.

Pandya will also be leading Mumbai Indians (MI) in the upcoming IPL season. He returned to MI following a high-profile trade from Gujarat Titans (GT), whom he led in the past two seasons.

Ahead of the IPL 2024, Hardik Pandya shared an interesting fact about him becoming an introverted person in recent years.

Hardik revealed that he has not been out of his home for the past few years and has only been out when the situation was unavoidable.

“One thing my fans don’t know about me is that I don’t go out now. I have hardly been out in the last two to three years; the only occasions I have stepped out is when it has been unavoidable. I like to stay at home. There was this time when I did not step out for 50 days and remained at home, and I never had a problem,” the cricketer said during a recent chat on UK 07 Rider.

Hardik Pandya often gets trolled on social media for his swagger, fashion choices, and tattoos among other things. However, he doesn’t pay heed to what’s going on in social media.

“I do not comment on what’s going on in social media, and also, I don’t care,” he stated.

However, Pandya’s love for tattoos remains consistent and he disclosed that he once made a mistake and had to get one removed.

He also recalled a funny incident related to his first Player-of-the-Match award in the IPL.

Hardik said, “I thought a player who is awarded as man of the match receives all the money. So when I won the MOM, I thought that the money was for me, but then I learnt that it gets divided among the team. After all, it is a team sport.”

Hardik Pandya will now be keen to perform in the T20 World Cup 2024, slated to be held in the West Indies and USA from June 1 to June 29. The Indian squad for the showpiece tournament will be picked based on how the players perform in IPL 2024, starting on March 22.
