R Ashwin invites Hanuma Vihari on his YouTube show ‘Kutty Stories’ amidst Andhra controversy

Hanuma Vihari vowed never to play for Andhra again after being asked to leave captaincy by ACA.

Hanuma Vihari | XHanuma Vihari recently announced that he will no longer play for Andhra in Indian domestic cricket. He announced after Andhra lost to Madhya Pradesh by five runs in the quarterfinals of the Ranji Trophy 2023/24 season at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Monday.

In what was a shocking revelation, Vihari claimed that ACA asked him to step down as captain after he shouted at a player on the field. The said player turned out to be the son of a politician and the politician then influenced ACA to get Vihari sacked from his post as captain.

The said player KN Prudhviraj, the keeper-batter of the Andhra team, then took to social media to negate the claims of Vihari. Meanwhile, Vihari shared a letter from the Andhra Pradesh team to the Andhra Cricket Association, detailing the incident and standing in support of Hanuma Vihari.

Hours later, the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) accused Hanuma Vihari of verbally abusing teammates and misbehaving with coaches and support staff.

Meanwhile, R Ashwin has invited Hanuma Vihari on his YouTube talk show ‘Kutty Stories’ as a guest. And Vihari replied in affirmative.
