Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli and his Bollywood actress wife Anushka Sharma became parents for the second time as the power couple proudly announced the arrival of their son on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, February 21, Kohli and Anushka took to their various handles to announce the arrival of their second child, a baby boy. The couple named their son ‘Akaay’. Ever since Virushka, fondly called by their fans, revealed the name of their son, fans have been intrigued by this unique name.

Even the meaning of Junior Kohli’s name became the hottest topic among cricket fans. Well, in a heartwarming post, Kohli said: “With abundant happiness and our hearts all filled with love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on February 15th, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay and Vamika's little brother into this world!

He added, “We seek your blessings and good wishes at this beautiful time in our lives. We request that you kindly respect our privacy at this time. Love and gratitude. Virat and Anushka.”

Meanwhile, the name ‘Akaay’ holds rich cultural significance, with its roots tracing back to Sanskrit and Turkish culture. In Sanskrit, ‘Akaay’ means 'body-less' or 'Nirakaar,' suggesting an entity beyond physical form.

Interestingly, in Turkish, ‘Akaay’ is associated with a shining moon. Furthermore, in the Sanskrit language itself, 'Akaay' embodies the meaning of 'immortal' or something that remains everlasting.

Notably, Kohli had opted out of the ongoing five-match Test series against England, citing personal reasons. After the announcement of becoming father a second time, Kohli was spotted in London.
