SRH batter Abhishek Sharma summoned by police over 28-year-old model's suicide case

She was pursuing fashion designing and modeling for the past one and a half to two years, and took her own life on Tuesday, 20 February, reported Gujarat Tak.

Gujarat Tak reported that the name of cricketer Abhishek Sharma, who plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has surfaced in connection with the case.

Sharma has been summoned by police for questioning to shed light on his relationship with Tania. It has been revealed that Tania was in contact with Sharma, which has prompted the authorities to delve deeper into their interactions.

According to sources close to the investigation, Tania's call records may contain critical information, such as when she made her final call to Sharma. This revelation has prompted the authorities to investigate the possibility that Tania's suicide was related to a love affair.

The police are methodically reviewing all evidence and testimonies to piece together the circumstances leading up to Tania's death, addressing the sensitive situation with extreme caution and consideration for all parties concerned.

Abhishek Sharma has been one of the best young cricketers in India. He had an excellent outing for SRH in IPL 2022 scoring 426 runs. In 2023, Sharma was not as effective and was able to score only 226 runs from 11 matches.
