India cricketing icon Virat Kohli and Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma were blessed with their second child on February 15, 2024, the couple announced on social media.
Kohli has been missing from action ever since returning from South Africa. He missed the first T20I against Afghanistan and withdrew himself from the ongoing England Test series due to personal reasons.
There were rumors of the possibility of the cricketer and his actress wife having a second child, but everything was kept under wraps.
Virat Kohli’s close friend and former South Africa batter AB de Villiers revealed this news on his YouTube channel some time back. But then he had to apologize and backtrack from his statement as Kohli and his family wanted privacy about the matter.
But on February 20, 2024, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma themselves announced that they had been blessed with a baby boy. The couple have named the baby ‘Akaay’ and this is their second child after Vamika, who was born on January 11, 2021.
"With abundant happiness and our hearts all of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay & Vamika's little brother into this world! We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time. Love & Gratitude. Virat & Anushka,” Kohli posted on Instagram.
