Indian fast bowler Mohammad Shami shared insights into his bond with his daughter, Aaira, who resides with his estranged wife, Hasin Jahan. Expressing his deep love for Aaira, Shami revealed that he gets to talk to his daughter occasionally only when Hasin allows.

The Indian star further revealed that, due to strained relations with his estranged wife, he doesn't have frequent opportunities to talk or meet with his daughter. Shami lamented the fact that he hasn't been able to meet Aaira in person, as he and Hasin have not been on speaking terms.

Notably, Shami tied the knot with Hasin Jahan in 2014, and Aaira was born in 2015. But a few years ago, the senior pacer and Hasin started living apart, and she kept their daughter with her.

Mohammad Shami told News18: “Who doesn't miss their kids and family. Obviously, there are situations where not everything is in your hands. But if you ask me, do I miss her (daughter), no one can leave their own blood. I do speak to her sometimes.”

Shami added, “All depends on her if she (Hasin Jahan) allows I to talk to her. I haven't visited her yet. I just want to wish her good health and a lot of success. Whatever is going on between her mother and me, that shouldn't matter. I make sure that she is living a healthy life.”

Notably, Shami is currently in the UK for ankle treatment, and there is no clarity as to when he will return to action.
