Mayank Agarwal admitted to Agartala hospital after major health scare on flight: Report

Agarwal was rushed to a hospital and taken to the ICU.

Agarwal was rushed to a hospital and taken to the ICU. He is currently leading the Karnataka side in the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy competition.

According to a Times Now report, Agarwal had the burning sensation in his mouth and throat immediately after drinking from a bottle, which is suspected to have a poisonous substance.

Besides Agarwal, Karnataka team manager Ramesh was also deboarded from the plane, the report further claimed.

Mayank Agarwal, 32, has been admitted in the ILS Hospital in Agartala. He is believed to be out of danger. PTI reported that Agarwal was underwent some tests at the hospital after he vomited during the flight.

Karnataka State Cricket Association joint secretary Shavir Tarapore said that the state association was trying to get more information about the whole incident.

Agarwal led Karnataka to a 29-run victory over Tripura in a Ranji Trophy match played at the Maharaj Bir Bikram Stadium in Agartala from January 26 to 29.

Karnataka’s next match is scheduled against Railways at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat from Friday (February 2).
