India off-spinner R Ashwin and former India women’s captain Mithali Raj joined Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, and Virat Kohli in the list of cricketers to be invited for Ram Mandir 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony to be held on January 22, 2024, in Ayodhya.

R Ashwin was invited to the much-anticipated temple consecration at his residence in Chennai on Friday, January 19. Tamil Nadu's BJP State Secretary Dr. SG Suryah and vice-president Venkatraman C handed over the invitation to R Ashwin. A photo of Ashwin receiving the invitation has been widely shared on social media.

On the other hand, Mithali Raj shared a photo of her mother receiving the invite on her behalf of her.

She posted: “Blessed to have received the invitation to the Pran Pratishtha Mangal Vidhi in Ayodhya. My mother accepted it on my behalf.”

Before them, former India captains Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, and Virat Kohli, along with his wife Anushka Sharma had also received their invitation at their respective residences.
