Virat Kohli receives invitation to attend Ram Mandir 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony in Ayodhya

The 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of Ram Mandir is scheduled for January 22 in Ayodhya.

Kohli has become the latest cricketer to be invited to the Ram temple consecration ceremony after the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni.

Numerous celebrities from various spheres of life are poised to attend the ceremony. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also mark his presence in Ayodhya.

According to a TOI report, PM Modi will preside over the 'Pran Pratishtha' of Ram Lalla's idol at the grand temple.

The Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust has decided to enthrone Ram Lalla at the sanctum-sanctorum of the shrine at noon on January 22. The birthplace of Lord Ram, Ayodhya holds great spiritual, historical, and cultural significance for the people.

Talking about Virat Kohli, he is currently featuring in the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan at home.

While Kohli missed out on the series opener in Mohali due to personal reasons, he scored 29 off 16 balls with five boundaries in the second T20I in Indore.

Kohli will now be seen in action in the third T20I against Afghanistan in Bangalore on Wednesday (January 17), followed by the five-Test series against England, starting on January 25 in Hyderabad.
