Former Pakistan cricketer and coach Mohammad Yousuf has voiced his support for Babar Azam, who is currently going through a rough phase across the formats of cricket.

Yousuf expressed confidence that Azam would bounce back to his best form. In the Boxing Day Test against Australia, Babar struggled and scored only one run before being bowled out by Pat Cummins.

Then, the former Pakistan skipper was looking good with the bat in the second innings, but yet again he failed to capitalize on his good start at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) against Australia.

The stylish right-hander was clean bowled by Josh Hazlewood for 41 off 79 balls in the second innings as Pakistan suffered a 79-run defeat in the second Test to lose the series to Australia at the MCG.

Well, this continues a series of low scores for Babar, as he last scored a century in the Asia Cup 2023 against Nepal. He also faced criticism for his batting against spin in the 2023 World Cup in India.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Yousuf took to X to back Babar to make a strong comeback, saying the storm and rain can't last forever and asking him to stay strong in this tough time.

Yousuf wrote on X: “Be strong now because things will get better, it might be stormy now, but it can't rain forever.”

Notably, the third and final Test between Australia and Pakistan will be played at the SCG from January 3, 2024.
