Shikhar Dhawan with his son Zoraver | InstagramVeteran India opener Shikhar Dhawan on Tuesday (December 26) posted an emotional birthday wish for his son Zoraver on social media.

Dhawan has been going through a tumultuous time in his personal life. The southpaw was granted divorce by a Delhi court on October 4, 2023 from his estranged wife, Aesha Mukerji, on the grounds of mental cruelty.

While the court determined that Aesha had caused mental suffering to Dhawan by forcing him to live separately from their son Zoravar for an extended period, it refrained from issuing permanent custody of their son.

Instead, the court granted Dhawan the right to visit his son Zoravar for specific durations and allowed them to have video calls to stay in connection.

Now, Shikhar Dhawan has shared a moving post for his son on his birthday, claiming that he has been blocked everywhere and can’t connect with his son.

“It’s been a year since I saw you in person, and now, for almost three months, I’ve been blocked from everywhere so Posting the same picture to wish you, my boy, a very Happy Birthday,” Dhawan wrote on Instagram.

“Even if I can’t connect with you directly, I connect with you through Telepathy. I am so proud of you, and I know you’re doing great and growing up nicely.

“Papa always misses you and loves you. He’s always positive, waiting with a smile for the time when we will meet again by the Grace of God. Be naughty but not destructive, be a giver, be humble, compassionate, patient, and strong,” he added.

“Despite not seeing you, I write you messages almost every day, asking about your well-being and daily life, sharing what I’m doing and what’s new in my life. Love you loads Zora ️ Papa,” he concluded.
