Pakistan’s Test captain Shan Masood paid an emotional tribute to the Multan Sultans as he joined the Karachi Kings ahead of the next edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

On Wednesday, December 13, the Karachi Kings named Masood as their new captain for the upcoming PSL 2024. The team management made this announcement after acquiring the services of the Pakistan Test captain from the Multan Sultans through a trade ahead of the PSL 2024 draft.

The Karachi Kings traded the spinner Faisal Akram to the Multan Sultans for Masood as part of the deal. Additionally, they relinquished their first-round draft picks in both the diamond and silver round categories as part of the overall deal.

Before adding Shan Masood to their roster, Karachi exchanged their captain and Player of the Tournament from the last season, Imad Wasim, for Hassan Ali from Islamabad United.
