Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been nominated for the prestigious ICC Men's Player of the Month award for November 2023, alongside Australian stars Travis Head and Glenn Maxwell.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday, December 7, announced the nominees for the ICC Men's Player of the Month Award for November 2023, and Shami, Head, and Maxwell were shortlisted thanks to their remarkable performances in the recent ODI World Cup 2023.
Mohammad Shami (India)
Veteran Indian pacer Mohammad Shami performed excellently in the World Cup 2023 through November. He took 15 wickets at an average of 12.06 with an economy rate of 5.68 last month.
Shami finished the CWC 2023 as the leading wicket-taker with 24 wickets. His remarkable highlights from November include a remarkable 5/18 against Sri Lanka at Wankhede and an impressive 7/57 against New Zealand in the semi-finals.
Travis Head (Australia)
Travis Head, the talented Australian batter, made a remarkable comeback to the team in October with a stunning ton against New Zealand after a prolonged injury break. He continued his excellent form in November, amassing 220 runs in five ODIs with an impressive average of 44 with the help of a century and a fifty in the ICC World Cup.

Notably, his standout performances in the World Cup semi-final against South Africa and in the final against India were highlights. In the semifinal, Head played a scintillating innings of 62 from 48 balls, and in the final, he guided Australia to a six-wicket win over India with an incredible knock of 137 off 120 balls in Ahmedabad.
Glenn Maxwell (Australia)
Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell amassed 204 runs at an average of 204 with a strike rate of 152.23 and two wickets in his three outings in the ODIs last month. This included a brilliant knock of 201* against Afghanistan in Mumbai in the World Cup 2023. Maxwell also made 116 runs at an impressive strike rate of 207.14, including a century against India in two T20Is last month.
