Deepak Chahar’s father suffers brain stroke, admitted in Aligarh hospital in critical condition

Chahar had to return home ahead of the 5th T20I against Australia due to a medical emergency in family.

Deepak Chahar and Rahul Chahar with Lokendra Singh Chahar | InstagramIndia pacer Deepak Chahar had to return home ahead of the fifth T20I against Australia in Bangalore on Sunday (December 3) due to a medical emergency in the family and now it has emerged that his father Lokendra Singh Chahar suffered a brain stroke.

According to a Dainik Jagran report, Lokendra Singh was attending a wedding function in Aligarh when he suffered a brain stroke and was admitted to the hospital urgently.

Deepak Chahar got the news on December 2 and he immediately left for Delhi and travelled via road to reach the Mithraj Hospital in Aligarh where his father is admitted.

The report also claims that the condition of his father is critical and the family is thinking about shifting him to Agra or Delhi for better medical care. Chahar’s father is diabetic and has hypertension. He is currently in the ICU.

Deepak Chahar featured only in the fourth T20I against Australia in Raipur. He returned with the figures of 2/44 in his four overs and India won that game by 20 runs.

India also won the fifth and final T20I by 6 runs and clinched the five-match series 4-1.
