During the recently held ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, Virat Kohli once again showed why he is the best in the business.
The star batter finished the showpiece tournament as the highest run-getter, amassing 765 runs from 11 innings at an average of 95.62 with three hundreds and six half-centuries. He deservedly earned the Player of the Tournament award.
During the campaign, Virat broke multiple batting records and the most notable one was him becoming the first-ever batter to hit 50 ODI centuries, surpassing the legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s record tally of 49 tons.
Kohli also became the most run-scorer in a single edition of the Cricket World Cup, going past Tendulkar’s total of 673 runs in the 2003 World Cup.
