India pacer Mohammad Shami on Saturday (November 25) came to the rescue of a man whose car met with an accident near Nainital.
Shami, who impressed one and all with his stunning exploits in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, was travelling to the hill station when he saw a car falling down from the hill.
Showing his kind nature, Shami stopped his car and checked upon the victim of the accident. Fortunately, the victim was safe.
Taking to Instagram, Shami shared a video of the incident, in which he could be seen helping the person who escaped the car crash.
“He’s so lucky god gave him 2nd life, His car fall down from the hill road near Nanital just in front of my. We took him out very safely,” he wrote in the caption.
Shami took the cricketing world by storm with his brilliant display in the Cricket World Cup. The right-arm quick was included in the playing XI after India were forced to alter their playing combination due to Hardik Pandya’s ankle injury.
As it turned out, Shami grabbed the opportunity with both hands, taking 24 wickets from seven matches at an astonishing average of 10.70 with three five-wicket hauls. He starred with the ball in India’s 70-run victory over New Zealand in the semi-final, returning with career-best figures of 7/57 in 9.5 overs.
Shami also picked up a wicket in the final but India lost the title clash to Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
