Veteran India pacer Ishant Sharma has become a father for the first time as his wife Pratima Singh gave birth to a baby girl on Friday (November 3).
Taking to Instagram, Ishant shared the news with his fans and wrote, “A new baby girl, a world of wonder, hope, and dreams all wrapped in pink. We are overjoyed to introduce the newest member of our family.”
Ishan’t post also included a poster that read: “A new baby marks the beginnings of all things - wonder, hope and a beautiful dream of possibilities. Pratima and I are delighted to announce the arrival of our baby girl."
Ishant and Pratima tied the marriage knot on December 9, 2016. In one of the previous interviews, Sharma admitted that he fell in love with Pratima the moment he spotted her at a basketball event in 2011 and was certain that he wanted to marry her.
Ishan Sharma, 35, has represented India in 105 Tests, 80 ODIs and 14 T20Is, claiming a total of 434 international wickets. He was last seen in action in a Test match against New Zealand in November 2021.
