Cricket fans on Monday (September 25) expressed their concerns after a video of former India skipper Kapil Dev getting abducted went viral on social media.

In the clip doing rounds on the internet, a couple of goons could be seen dragging the legendary all-rounder into a house with his hands tied and mouth covered.

Former India opener Gautam Gambhir also posted the video on his official X account with the caption, “Anyone else received this clip, too? Hope it’s not actually @therealkapildev and that Kapil Paaji is fine.”

The video left the netizens worried and confused at the same time. Some prayed for the well-being of India’s 1983 World Cup-winning captain, others wondered whether the clip was from an advertisement shoot.
