Bumrah claimed four wickets at an average of 9.75 from two T20Is against Ireland and earned the Player-of-the-Series award.

The Asia Cup 2023 marked Bumrah’s return to ODI cricket and he instantly made an impact. The right-arm quick was exceptional with the new ball as he picked up four wickets from three innings at an average of 17.75.

While Bumrah hasn’t played Test cricket since July 2022, he boasts a fantastic record in the shortest format with 128 wickets from 30 matches at an average of 21.99.

Recently, England all-rounder Chris Woakes hailed Jasprit Bumrah as the best all-format bowler in the world.

"Jasprit Bumrah is the number one I think, probably across all formats. He is pretty sensational with what he does and he is unique, right? His action is different to anyone else and he has got a high pace, a gun slower ball, and a yorker on top. Everything you need as a white ball bowler," Woakes said while speaking to Wisden.

Jasprit Bumrah is expected to play a key role for India in the upcoming ODI World Cup at home, scheduled to get underway on October 5.

Before the World Cup, Bumrah will showcase his skills in the three-match ODI series against Australia, starting September 22 in Mohali.
