Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya unfollow Punjabi singer Shubh on Instagram after viral controversial post

Shubh shared a distorted map of India on his Instagram.

Virat Kohli had called Shubh his favorite artist | XCanada-based Punjabi singer Shubh is getting a lot of backlash for his controversial post regarding India wherein he shared a distorted map of India, omitting Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir and North-East. This post coincided with the Punjab Police's pursuit of a fugitive named Amritpal Singh.

His controversial post went viral once more amidst the India- Canada diplomatic tensions in which Canadian PM Justin Trudeau’s allegations of "potential" Indian links to the killing of a Khalistani separatist leader.

Shubh's viral controversial post with distorted map of India | InstagramShubh, real name Shubhneet Singh, was due to tour India from September 23 to 25, however, ahead of the commencement of his tour, his controversial post on India gained traction as multiple parties showed concern about his alleged support for Khalistani separatists.

Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) had demanded the cancellation of Shubh's concert in India for supporting Khalistani elements. 

This led to sponsors of his Mumbai concert, consumer lifestyle brand BoAt pulling out, and later on Book My Show, the online ticketing portal confirmed on social media platform X, that Shubh’s tour was canceled.

Singer Shubhneet Singh’s Still Rollin Tour for India stands canceled. To that end, BookMyShow has initiated a complete refund of the ticket amount for all consumers who had purchased tickets for the show. The refund will be reflected within 7-10 working days in the customer's source account of the original transaction,” Book My Show posted.

Not only this, but several Indian cricketers have unfollowed Shubh on Instagram including Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and KL Rahul.  Some time ago, Kohli had lauded the Canada-based singer for his talent and even called him his favorite artist.
