India’s Asia Cup-bound players have assembled in Bengaluru for a training camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). They will train together before departing for Sri Lanka on August 30 to take part in the continental tournament.

The Men in Blue will open their Asia Cup 2023 campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 2 in Pallekele.

Ahead of the marquee event, star batter Virat Kohli has proved his fitness by passing the ‘Yo-Yo test’ with flying colours.

On Thursday (August 24), Kohli uploaded a picture on his Instagram story and also revealed his fitness test score.

“The happiness of finishing the Yo Yo test between the dreaded cones. 17.2 done,” Kohli wrote.

After enduring an extended lean patch, Virat Kohli is back to scoring runs consistently. He has slammed two centuries each in Tests and ODIs this year so far besides a couple of tons in the IPL 2023 season for RCB

Kohli was last seen in action during the tour of West Indies last month, featuring in the two-match Test series and the first ODI. While Virat didn’t get a chance to bat in the only ODI he played, he registered scores of 76 and 121 in the two Test innings.
