WATCH: KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer bat in the nets with full intensity ahead of Asia Cup 2023

Rahul and Iyer have been out of competitive action for quite a while.

Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul | ScreengrabWith the fast-approaching Asia Cup 2023, Team India have received a positive news as KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer are back in their groove. The duo is batting in the nets with full intensity.

The continental tournament is scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka and Pakistan from August 30 and September 17.

Rahul and Iyer were an integral part of India’s ODI team before sustaining terrible injuries earlier this year. In their absence, the Men in Blue were forced to experiment with their batting line-up in the recently held ODI series against West Indies.

In a media release last month, the BCCI had informed that both Rahul and Iyer resumed their practice.

Now, IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders and their star all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer shared a video on Instagram, in which Rahul could be seen batting in the nets.

In another viral clip, Shreyas Iyer could be seen honing his batting skills in the nets.

India are yet to unveil their squad for the Asia Cup 2023 and the team management will certainly heave a sigh of relief after watching the latest video.

While Shreyas Iyer underwent a surgery in April for his recurring lower-back injury, Rahul underwent a thigh surgery a month later. Both players are currently rehabilitating at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
