Widely regarded as one of the best batters of the modern era, Kohli is also ranked among the highest earning athletes in the world.

The star batter earns around 7 crores from his A+ Team India contract. Moreover, he endorses multiple brands and also has a massive followership on social media.

Every now and then, media reports keep guessing his net worth and one of them recently stated that Kohli charges a hefty sum of INR 11.45 crore per post on Instagram, where he boasts a whopping 256 million followers.

Taking to social media platform X, Kohli wrote: “While I am grateful and indebted to all that I’ve received in life, the news that has been making rounds about my social media earnings is not true.”

Virat Kohli’s post took the internet by storm as many fans were interested in knowing his actual earnings.

According to a recent report published by Hopper HQ, Virat Kohli charged a massive USD 1.38 million, which is around INR 11.45 crores, per sponsored post on Instagram in 2023.

The list was topped by football great Cristiano Ronaldo, followed by his arch-rival Lionel Messi. Ronaldo charged a whopping sum of USD 3.23 million which roughly translates to INR 26.75 crore. Messi, on the other hand, charged USD 2.56 million per Instagram post, which translates to INR 21.49 crore per post.

As per the report, Ronaldo and Messi are followed by Hollywood superstar Selena Gomez. Kohli is the only Indian in the top 20 list.
