Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni arrived in Chennai on Sunday (July 9) to attend the trailer and audio launch event of the Tamil film ‘Let’s Get Married’ (LGM), which will be produced under the Dhoni Entertainment banner.
Dhoni was accompanied by his wife Sakshi and both of them were given a blockbuster welcome by the Super Kings fans.
CSK’s official Twitter account also shared a picture of Dhoni and Sakshi from the trailer and audio launch event of LGM.
During the event, Dhoni opened up on his camaraderie with Deepak Chahar. During the IPL 2023 season, the CSK captain was seen making pranks on the right-arm seamer.
In a rather cheeky remark, Dhoni compared Chahar to a ‘drug’ while also adding that he will never meet a ‘mature’ Chahar in his lifetime.
“Deepak Chahar is like a drug, if he is not there, you would think, where is he - if he is around, you would think, why he is here - good part is that he is maturing but he takes time & that is the problem, in my lifetime, I won’t see him matured (smiles)," he said, as quoted by CricketNext.
Recalling some of the biggest feats of his career, Dhoni further stated that he was adopted by the people of Chennai a long time back.
“My Test debut was in Chennai, My highest Test score was in Chennai, now my first production movie in Tamil - Chennai is more special to me, I was adopted here long back," he remarked.
Widely regarded as one of India’s greatest cricketers ever, MS Dhoni celebrated his 42nd birthday on July 7, 2023.
A day after his birthday, Dhoni shared a glimpse of his birthday celebration by posting a video on Instagram. In the video, he can be seen cutting his birthday cake while being surrounded by his pet dogs.
