According to ABP news, the mishap happened when Praveen was coming from the Pandav Nagar area via his Land Rover Defender car and it collided with the canter near the commissioner's residence.

While the car was severely damaged, Praveen and his son escaped unhurt from the accident. The local police reportedly reached the spot immediately and arrested the truck driver.

Praveen Kumar has represented India in all three formats of the game. In 6 Tests, the right-arm seamer took 27 wickets while he returned with 77 and 8 scalps from 68 ODIs and 10 T20Is respectively.

Not long ago, Rishabh Pant’s car accident shook the cricketing world. The Indian wicketkeeper-batter also survived a near-fatal accident after his car crashed into the road divider and caught fire on the Delhi-Dehradun highway.

Pant is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore as he is on his road back to recovery.
