Yash Dayal, the left-arm pacer from Uttar Pradesh, who plays for Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Indian Premier League and was in action in the recent IPL 2023, found himself in some trouble after he posted a controversial story on Instagram and had to apologize in the aftermath.
Dayal, who was hit for five sixes in five balls in an match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by Rinku Singh, shared an image which focused on controversy in reference to the Delhi murder case involving Sakshi and her alleged boyfriend Sahil Khan.
However, multiple users on Twitter screenshotted the story before Yash managed to delete it.
In a subsequent Instagram story he said, “Guy’s (sic) apologies for the story it was just posted by mistake plz don’t spread hate. Thank you (I) have respect for each & every community n (and) society.”
In a statement Dayal said, “There were two stories posted on my Insta handle today – both of which weren’t done by me. I have reported the matter to authorities as I believe my account is being accessed by someone else and used for posting. I am trying to regain full control of my Instagram account. I respect all communities and the picture shared today does not reveal my true beliefs.”
Dayal, 25, represents Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket. He was bought by GT for Rs 3.2 crore during the IPL auction.
