Sports apparel and merchandise giant Adidas on Thursday (June 1) unveiled Team India’s new jersey for the three formats of the game.
Last month, the Board of Control for Cricket in India announced a partnership with Adidas as its kit sponsor.
Taking to Instagram, Adidas launched the new Indian jersey with a creative video and captioned it as, “An iconic moment. An iconic stadium. Introducing the new Team India Jerseys.”
The jersey for the ODI and T20I formats are dark blue and sky blue in colour. The white jersey of Adidas will be worn by the Indian cricket team in the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia, starting June 7 at the Oval.
Adidas replaced Kewal Kiran Clothing Ltd, maker of Killer Jeans, which came in as interim sponsor last December after the then-sponsor MPL Sports opted out of the deal midway.
BCCI’s contract with Adidas will run till March 2028, giving the sports goods manufacturer exclusive rights to supply kit across all formats of the game.
