The Indian team has reportedly agreed to play two T20Is in Florida, USA when they tour West Indies later this year post the ICC World Test Championship 2023 final. The BCCI earlier agreed to add two more matches to their itinerary.
The series will kick off in July and end on August 13 after back-to-back T20I matches.
After facing off Afghanistan at home, the Indian team will travel to West Indies for a full tour in July where the team will play 2 Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is against the Men in Maroon in a month-long tour.
The IND vs WI series is likely to kick off with the Tests on July 12, with ODIs and T20Is to follow.
Originally, the tour was for 2 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 3 T20Is, but now two more T20Is have been added to the itinerary with both matches to be played in USA, where they will be hosted at the Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium in Florida.
The games will be played on August 12 and August 13 respectively, as per Cricbuzz.
The series is part of the ICC’s new Future Tours Program (FTP). The two Tests will be part of the ICC World Test Championships 2023-25. The ODI series serves as a preparation ground for the ODI World Cup later this year.
After this, the Indian team will travel to Ireland for a three-match T20I series. Cricket Ireland confirmed that the three matches will be played between August 18-23.
