Kedar Jadhav's father found hours later after going missing from his home in Pune

Indian cricketer Kedar Jadhav’s father, Mahadev Jadhav, was found hours after he went missing from their Pune home on Monday, March 27.

According to Jadhav’s complaint at the Alankar police station, his father suffers from dementia, and he had left their Kothrud home for a morning walk and was last seen exiting the gate of the housing complex.

After the cricketer registered a missing person complaint, police began the search, which ended in the Mundhwa area, where 75-year-old Mahadev Jadhav was found and Mundhwa Police handed over the Indian cricketer's father to his family.

Senior Inspector Ajit Lakde of Mundhwa police station said: “His condition is fine and he has been reunited with his family.”

Earlier, an Alankar police station official said: “Mahadev Jadhav went missing after he left home for a morning walk. He left the gate of the housing complex and has not been seen since. A missing person case has been registered and efforts are on to trace him.”

Kedar Jadhav posted a story on his Instagram account sharing that his father was found and thanked everyone for their prayers.

The 37-year-old has represented India in 73 ODIs and 9 T20 Internationals, where he scored 1389 runs and 122 runs respectively.
