Karachi’s latest defeat came against Islamabad United on Friday (March 3). In the game, the Imad Wasim-led side failed to defend a 201-run total as Azam Khan slammed 72* off 41 balls to take Islamabad over the line.

After the match, Karachi Kings coach Wasim Akram was seen in an animated discussion with the team members, including former Pakistan skipper Shoaib Malik, in the dressing room.

Karachi Kings have two more matches left in the league stage. While the Wasim Akram-coached side will take on Quetta Gladiators on March 6, they are due to face Lahore Qalandars on March 12.

The final of the 2023 edition of Pakistan Super League will take place at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on March 19.
