'Playing in India not a problem for Pakistan'- Aaqib Javed; says India batters cannot score 400 against Pak bowlers

Javed also boasted highly of the Pakistani bowling attack.

Javed boasts of Pakistan's bowling prowess | GettyFormer Pakistan cricketer Aaqib Javed has warned the Indian team while boasting about Pakistan’s bowling attack saying that the likes of Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Haris Rauf won’t let Indian batters score 400 runs in ODIs.

This comes after India plundered runs against New Zealand in the recent ODI series with Shubman Gill scoring a double century and a century and Rohit Sharma ending his century drought in the format.

India had posted totals of 349/8 and 385/9 in two of the ODIs against New Zealand as they whitewashed the Kiwis 3-0.

The 1992 World Cup-winning Pakistan pacer said that the Pakistani side has always given their arch-rivals India a tough time in showpiece events and believes Pakistan will not struggle on Indian pitches at the 2023 World Cup.

He also compared the bowling attacks of New Zealand and Pakistan to explain that Men in Blue will not be able to score those humungous totals against the Men in Green bowlers.

Report of Mickey Arthur becoming the first ‘online’ coach of Pakistan team sparks memefest

"Pakistan has always given India a tough time. When the Pakistan team goes to India for the World Cup, it will not face any problems in playing on the pitches there. Although recently India scored a lot of runs against New Zealand in the ODI series. But the bowling of Pakistan is not the bowling of New Zealand, so the Indian batsmen scored four hundred runs," Javed was quoted as saying by GeoTv.

Javed also claimed that teams will find it hard to chase down 300-run targets against Pakistan at the 2023 World Cup.

"Pakistan cricket team is better in ODI cricket as it has an advantage due to bowling. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah are fully fit, so it will benefit the team. Pakistan has Shadab Khan along with Mohammad Nawaz in India, so there will be no need for fast bowling all-rounder. If Pakistan scores 300 runs, then it will be very difficult for the other team to chase it down," he added.
