England all-rounder Moeen Ali has opened up on his admiration for Virat Kohli, saying that he enjoys his company while also hailing the former India skipper’s unique personality.

Notably, Moeen got to know Kohli from close quarters when he was part of the IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2018-20.

“I really admire Virat Kohli. He is definitely the one, he is somebody else as a player. He is the one you want to play with, spend time with him. He is very unique, I've not met anybody else like him in terms of his personality,” he said while speaking with Zee Network.

While Moeen loves Kohli’s company, he finds his Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni very inspiring.

“Cricket-wise there are so many great players, but as a person, I really love Virat's company. MS Dhoni is very inspiring,” he added.

Moeen Ali, who is leading Sharjah Warriors in the inaugural edition of ILT20, also said that Indian fans should support the Sharjah-based team as they are the underdogs with no superstars in their team.

“We are the underdogs like I said, there are no superstars in our team but we have the fight and we can show that spirit and Indian fans will enjoy watching us play and see the underdogs win,” said Ali.

The inaugural edition of the International League T20 is slated to be held from January 13 to February 12. Sharjah Warriors will open their campaign against MI Emirates on January 14 in Abu Dhabi.
