‘Dialed 108 for help’- Rajat and Nishu who admitted Rishabh Pant in Saksham hospital give details

Rajat and Nishu, who admitted Pant in Saksham hospital, visited him in Dehradun | ANIRajat and Nishu, the two persons who took star Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant to the local hospital in Roorkee after his near-fatal car accident has revealed gory details of the aftermath of the incident and condition of the Indian cricketer.

Rishabh Pant was traveling from Delhi to Roorkee, his hometown to be with his family for New Year but met with an accident on the highway on the outskirts of Roorkee near Narsan district while trying to avoid a pothole and lost control of his vehicle.

It is been said that Haryana roadways bus driver Sushil and his fellow conductor and Rajat and Nishu were the first responders to help Rishabh Pant out of the car which was about to catch fire. As soon as Pant was out of the vehicle, it caught fire and was gutted.

"We saw him first and his condition was serious. We provided him help. A driver named Sushil and a bus conductor dialed 108 to call for help. We did not know who he was, but for the sake of humanity, we covered his body with clothes so as to save his life. We sent him to Saksham Hospital in an ambulance," Rajat told ANI.

Rajat recalled giving Pant a dupatta to tie on his forehead to stop excessive bleeding and a painkiller was given to him in the ambulance. The duo also gathered some money, close to INR 4,000, which belonged to Pant and gave them to the police.

"All the other remaining items were burnt," Rajat said, who along with Nishu visited Rishabh Pant in Max Hospital in Dehradun.

Meanwhile, the latest update about Rishabh Pant said that the cricketer had been moved from the ICU to a private suite to prevent infections and that he was doing better and will recover soon.
