Virat Kohli and Ishan Kishan took the Bangladesh attack to the cleaners in third ODI.

Marnus Labuschagne strengthened his No. 1 position in ICC Test batting rankings | GettyAfter claiming the No. 1 spot in the ICC Test batting rankings earlier this month, Australia batter Marnus Labuschagne has now strengthened his position at the summit.

After his stunning exploits in the home Test series against West Indies, Labuschagne drew level with India great Virat Kohli on the all-time list by achieving a new career-high rating.

Marnus aggregated a staggering 502 runs in the two-match Test series and joined Kohli on a career-high rating of 937 points. He now holds the equal 11th best Test rating of all time and just three Australian players – Sir Don Bradman (961), Steve Smith (947) and Ricky Ponting (942) – have achieved better ratings.

Besides Labuschagne, Australian left-hander Travis Head also gained places following his impressive show in the Test series against West Indies. With his century in the pink-ball Test at the Adelaide Oval, the southpaw jumped seven spots on the Test batter rankings to sixth overall and a personal best 774 rating points.

England's Test series win over Pakistan also saw a number of their players gaining places in the updated rankings, with young gun Harry Brook moving up 15 places on the Test batter rankings to 55th overall after his century in the second innings and Player of the Match performance in Multan.

Their pacers were rewarded as well, with seasoned campaigner James Anderson moving up one place to second overall on the Test bowler rankings while Ollie Robinson (up two spots to sixth) and Mark Wood (up eight spots to 34th) also climbed the ladder.

The updated rankings also took into account the recently-concluded ODI series between India and Bangladesh.

Virat Kohli is now the highest-ranked Indian ODI batter following his two-spot rise to eighth overall. The former India skipper slammed his 44th ODI ton in the third and final game against Bangladesh.

On the other hand, Ishan Kishan moved from outside the top 100 to 37th thanks to his brilliant double century in the last ODI at Chattogram.

Since Bangladesh clinched the three-match series 2-1, some of their players made eye-catching moves on the latest ODI rankings.

Shakib Al Hasan (eighth) and Mustafizur Rahman (ninth) both improve one spot inside the top 10 on the latest ODI bowler rankings, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz advanced three places to third on the list for all-rounders.
