Suryakumar Yadav reigns supreme at no.1 in T20I rankings; Hardik Pandya enters top 50 batters

India static at no.3 in ICC ODI team rankings, will now face the new no.1 ranked team, New Zealand.

India batter Suryakumar Yadav still reigned supreme at no.1 in the recent update of the ICC T20I players’ rankings on November 23, 2022. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya entered the top 50 T20I batters’ list at no. 50.

Suryakumar consolidated his position at the top of the rankings after his stupendous 111 not out in the second T20I against New Zealand. He received the Player of the Series for his effort against New Zealand.

Suryakumar has gained 31 rating points from the series and his 890 points keep him 54 ahead of Pakistan’s Mohammed Rizwan, who is placed second.

In the bowlers’ chart, India’s seasoned pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has climbed two places to 11th, with left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh moving up a place to 21st. Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has jumped eight places to 40th.

Virat Kohli | GettyComing to the ODI rankings, India’s Virat Kohli climbed up to the sixth spot in the ODI rankings while skipper Rohit Sharma continued his stay at number eight. The injured Jasprit Bumrah, who is 11th, is the top-ranked Indian on the bowlers’ list.

David Warner, thanks to his 106 in the third ODI against England At MCG, gained one spot to reach the fifth position in the list, and Travis Head, who made 152 in the same match, progressed 12 spots to reach the 30th position.

Fast bowler Mitchell Starc moved up four places to take the fourth position while leg-spinner Adam Zampa (up eight places to seventh) and Pat Cummins (up one place to 17th) have also moved up the bowlers’ rankings.

In the ODI team rankings, world champions England lost the top spot after being clean-swept 0-3 by Australia and New Zealand has now regained the numero uno spot.

Australia's wonderful performance was rewarded as they moved to fourth with 112 rating points, displacing Pakistan, who has 107. India is No.3 with 112 rating points and 3802 overall points; Australia on No.4 with 112 and 3572 respectively.
