India to tour Bangladesh in December; to play 2 Tests and 3 ODIs

The two Tests will be part of the ICC World Test Championship.

India to play 3 ODIs and 2 Tests in Bangladesh in December | TwitterTeam India will be traveling to Bangladesh for the first time since 2015 for bilateral series which begins on December 4. The Men in Blue will play 3 ODIs, which will start the tour, and two Tests as well.

The three 50-over internationals will be played in at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka from December 4 onwards.

The first Test will be held at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram with the two teams returning to Dhaka for the second Test. Both Tests will be part of the ICC World Test Championship.

BCB President Nazmul Hassan said: “The Bangladesh-India matches in recent history have given us some epic contests and fans from both countries are eagerly waiting for another memorable series. I thank the Board of Control for Cricket in India for working closely with the BCB in confirming the schedule. We look forward to welcoming the Indian team to Bangladesh.”

We know how passionate the fans in Bangladesh are and I am sure they will be treated to some exhilarating contests both in white-ball and red-ball cricket. With the crucial World Test Championship points at stake, the two Test matches are very important and both teams will go hard for the win.”

Dec 4: 1st ODI, Mirpur
Dec 7: 2nd ODI, Mirpur
Dec 10: 3rd ODI, Mirpur

14-18 Dec: 1st Test, Chattogram
22-26 Dec: 2nd Test, Mirpur
