Mayanti Langer posts adorable photo for father-in-law Roger Binny after his appointment as BCCI president

Former Indian pacer Roger Binny, on Tuesday (October 18), was appointed as the new Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), as he was unanimously elected to replace former India captain Sourav Ganguly at the helm in the board's 91st AGM in Mumbai.

Following the appointment, wishes poured in for the 1983 World Cup-winning pacer from the cricket fraternity on social media, and now on Wednesday, October 19, the newly-elected BCCI President received a special congratulatory note from his daughter-in-law Mayanti Langer.

Taking to Twitter, the popular sports anchor and wife of Stuart Binny, son of Roger Binny, shared an adorable post to hail his father-in-law’s appointment as BCCI President.

Mayanti Langer shared the photograph of the sports page which had coverage of Binny's appointment as the BCCI president with her son's hand on the page on Twitter.

Following his appointment, Binny said that his main focus would be reducing the number of injuries in the Indian team and improving the quality of pitches in the country.

Notably, Binny played 27 Tests and 72 ODIs and scalped 47 and 77 wickets respectively for India. The former pacer played a key role in India's first-ever World Cup victory in 1983. He was the highest wicket-taker for India in the 1983 World Cup with 18 scalps.
