BCCI confirms conduction of Women’s IPL next year; reveals new office bearers in key decisions of AGM

Roger Binny replaced Sourav Ganguly as BCCI President | TwitterThe 91st Annual General Meeting of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was held on October 18th, 2022, in Mumbai. Many important decisions were taken and adopted by the body in the AGM and some of them were highlighted by the board on their website.

One of the biggest decisions made at the AGM was that the Women’s IPL will be conducted next year in 2023. Five teams will be part of the league initially but how they will be sold could be decided on Tuesday. The BCCI could sell the teams city-wise based on zones or to big cities with a solid fan base.

Apart from this, the names of the new BCCI office bearers were also confirmed.

The following members were elected as the new Office Bearers of the BCCI:

President: Mr. Roger Binny
Vice President: Mr. Rajeev Shukla
Secretary: Mr. Jay Shah
Joint Secretary: Mr. Devajit Saikia
Treasurer:  Mr. Ashish Shelar

Arun Dhumal and Avishek Dalmiya were elected as representatives to the Indian Premier League Governing Council, while Arun Dhumal was named the Chairman of the IPL.

The Senior Men’s Future Tour Programs for 2023-2027 and Senior Women’s Future Tour Programs for 2022-2025 were approved by the General Body.
