Pakistan cricket fans expressed their anger towards Khushdil Shah after the hosts lost the seventh and final T20I against England by 67 runs and also lost the 7-T20I series 3-4 on Sunday (October 2) at Gadaffi Stadium in Lahore.

England posted a challenging total of 209/3 on the back of Dawid Malan’s 78* and a brilliant cameo of 46* from Harry Brook in the T20I series decider in Lahore.

Chasing the total, Pakistan’s batting was badly exposed by the England pacers, as Shan Masood (56) and Khushdil Shah (27) could only cross the 20-run mark, and the hosts eventually finished on 142/8, falling 67 runs short of the target in the final T20I on Sunday.

After Khushdil lost his wicket to Adil Rashid, a viral video showed a section of Pakistan cricket fans chanting 'Parchi, Parchi' at the batter, indicating that he was in the team on basis of recommendation and not performances.

Pakistan opener Imam Ul Haq was not happy with this behavior of fans and shared the clip of the viral video, he urged the fans to not do such things, as it will affect the players’ mental health.

He also asked them to keep backing the national team regardless of the results, since they play for the fans and the country.

Imam wrote in the caption: “I would like to request our fans to avoid such rants at any player as it can badly impact the player’s health and try to support them like you always do, regardless of the results. We play for YOU, we play for PAKISTAN. Stay blessed.”
