Former India captain Virat Kohli is the most followed cricketer on social media platform Instagram and one of the most followed sports personalities thanks to his amazing on-field performances.
Kohli's social media following has soared in the past couple of years and he is the only Indian to be followed by more than 200 million users on Instagram.
Kohli is followed by 50.4 million users on Twitter and more than 49 million users follow his Facebook page. His massive social media following has seen him make huge monetary gains and he has reportedly shattered earning records now.
As per Hopperhq.com, Virat Kohli charges a humongous amount of $ 1,088,000, which is equivalent to Rs 8.9 crore (approx), per Instagram post. He is the only Indian in the top 20 list with actress Priyanka Chopra coming in at the 27th spot. Kohli is the only cricketer on the elite list.

Cristiano Ronaldo, the only celebrity to be followed by more than 400 million users on Instagram, tops the list. He charges $2,397,000 (Rs 19 crore approx) per post. Lionel Messi sits at the 3rd spot and charges $1,777,000 (Rs 14 crore approx) per post.
Actor and wrestler Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is at the 5th spot in the overall list. Kohli is at the 4th spot among sports personalities. It is to be noted that football is a global sport while that isn't the case with cricket.
The 33-year-old is presently preparing for the upcoming 2022 T20 World Cup, to be played in Australia. Before that, he will be seen in the remaining two T20Is against South Africa of the ongoing three-match series which the hosts lead 1-0.
