India batter Suryakumar Yadav jumped two spots to become the no.2 ranked T20I batter in the latest update of the ICC T20I batting rankings on September 28, 2022. On the other hand, Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan retained his top position.
Rizwan has notched up scores of 88*, 8, and 88 in the second, third and fourth T20Is against England, helping him maintain his position at the top. Pakistan won the second and fourth T20Is of the seven-match series which stands 2-2 after four matches.
Suryakumar Yadav moved to the second spot thanks to his scintillating 69 off 36 deliveries in the third T20I against Australia in Hyderabad. His knock helped India chase down the target of 187 and win the series 2-1.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam is at the no.3 spot after he posted his second T20I hundred in the second T20I against England. Australia skipper Aaron Finch holds on to his no.5 spot after his knock of 31 in the second T20I against India in Nagpur.
One of the biggest gainers was England’s Harry Brook who moved 118 spots to 29th position thanks to his 31, 81*, and 34 in the last three T20Is against Pakistan in Karachi.
In the bowler’s rankings, Haris Rauf registered figures of 2/30, 0/39, and 3/32 in the last three matches, helping him move to 18th spot.

Indian spinner Akshar Patel also impressed with a Player of the Series-winning performance against Australia as he pocketed 8 wickets in 3 matches and raised his ranking by 15 places, to No.18.
Spinner Adam Zampa (down to No.6) and pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar (down to No.10), have both lost a position each after subpar showing in recent series.
In the all-rounders' charts, Afghanistan captain Mohammad Nabi is the new No.1, surpassing Shakib Al Hasan. Hardik Pandya has also broken into the top five, after his impressive showings in the series against Australia.
