The Indian women's star cricketer Jemimah Rodrigues is celebrating her 22nd birthday on Monday (September 5), and on her special day, the young batter has a special demand from the IPL franchise Mumbai Indians (MI).
Actually, MI took to Twitter to send their wishes to Jemimah on her birthday with a special post, and the young cricketer didn’t take much time to thank the five-time IPL champions franchise for the gesture.
However, the birthday girl went on to ask the MI for her gift with a special demand.
Since the Women’s IPL (WIPL) is all set to kick off next year, Jemimah asked the MI to pick her in their team for the inaugural edition of the tournament.
Jemimah replied to MI’s Twitter post by saying: “Thank you! You guys better pick me up for the Womens IPL… just saying ????????.”
Well, after noticing Jemimah’s wish, the official Twitter handle of the franchise came up with a heart-warming response, “Paltan, what do you say? Let it be?”
Notably, Jemimah was part of the Indian women’s historic silver medal-winning campaign at the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham. On Monday, She was nominated for ICC Player of the Month for August 2022.
