Young Indian batter Shubman Gill will play for English County side Glamorgan for the remainder of the season.
Glamorgan on Friday (September 2) confirmed the signing of Gill for the final four matches of their ongoing County Championship season.
The 22-year-old will be eligible to represent Glamorgan from their County Championship fixture against Worcestershire, starting September 5.
Gill will be joining the likes of Cheteshwar Pujara (Sussex), Mohammed Siraj (Warwickshire), Navdeep Saini (Kent), Washington Sundar (Lancashire), Krunal Pandya (50-over matches for Warwickshire), and Umesh Yadav (Middlesex) in the last of Indian players who played for an English County side this season.
He will also become the third Indian after Ravi Shastri and Sourav Ganguly to play for Glamorgan.

Shubman Gill has been India’s regular member in Tests and so far has featured in 11 matches in the longest format. Playing in the County Championship will only add to his experience and will be significant learning for him.
The Punjab batter has been in the red hot form lately. He featured in the recent ODI series against West Indies and Zimbabwe, winning Player of the Series in both of them.
