Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Sunday (28th August) decided that they will donate part of the gate earnings from the first T20I to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for the country’s flood-affected victims.

Almost 1000 people have been killed in rain-related incidents in Pakistan since June with thousands left homeless. The governing body will next week calculate the expected amount and will donate. When the series will be held next month, they will then reconcile the earnings.

PCB chairman Ramiz Raja also expressed his grief and sorrow for the people affected by the floods and said: “We at the PCB express our grief and sorrow for all those affected by the extreme monsoon rainfall and floods, which have resulted in havoc and devastation beyond imagination, killing over 1,000 and leaving around a million homeless.

"As cricket unites our proud nation, we stand firmly with the victims and all those involved in the flood relief and rescue operations.”

Coming to the series between Pakistan and England, both teams will prepare themselves for the T20 World Cup and after that England will return to Pakistan for the Test series, which will be played in December.
