Young Indian batter Shubman Gill is all set to join Glamorgan for the remainder of the English county season. The right-hander recently signed himself with the team and will only play subject to his visa clearance, as per the reports in ESPNCricinfo.

Gill has been India’s regular member in Tests and so far has featured in 11 matches in the longest format. Playing in the county championship will only add to his experience and will be significant learning for him.

The Punjab batter of late has been in the red hot form. He featured in the ODI series against West Indies and Zimbabwe, winning Player of the Series in both of them. He has one hundred and three fifties in his last 6 ODIs.

Gill will be joining the likes of Cheteshwar Pujara (Sussex), Mohammed Siraj(Warwickshire), Navdeep Saini (Kent) and Umesh Yadav (Middlesex), who are currently playing in England. He will become the third Indian after Ravi Shastri and Sourav Ganguly to play for Glamorgan
