Gulf Giants on Wednesday (August 17) unveiled their initial squad of 14 players for the UAE's International League T20 (ILT20), slated to be held next year.
The Giants, owned by Adani Sportsline, have signed some of the leading T20 names in world cricket, including Shimron Hetmyer, Chris Jordan, Chris Lynn and David Wiese.
The squad features quite a few England-based players. Apart from Jordan, the likes of James Vince, Tom Banton, Liam Dawson, Jamie Overton, Richard Gleeson, Ollie Pope, Rehan Ahmed and Wayne Madsen are also part of the line-up.
Former Zimbabwe batter Andy Flower has been appointed as the head coach of the franchise. Notably, Lucknow Super Giants qualified for the playoffs under his coaching during the IPL 2022 season.
