The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on August 15, 2022, launched a new jersey design in order to celebrate the 75 years of India’s Independence from the British empire. India is celebrating its 76th Independence Day today.
The Indian team members are on a break as of now, with a few members in Zimbabwe for a three-match ODI series which will be played from August 18-22 in Harare. The remainder of the players are enjoying some time off before the squad assembles for the Asia Cup 2022 which will be played in UAE from August 27 onwards.

Meanwhile, the BCCI took to Twitter and shared a photo of a newly designed India jersey that had a streak of the tricolor running on the side and the number 75 being imprinted multiple times.
“Let's celebrate the 75th year of Indian Independence by donning this Flag of the Nation, Limited Edition Jersey. #TeamIndiaLimitedEdition #IndianCricketTeam #MPLSports,” BCCI posted.
