The former South African pacer Makhaya Ntini has praised former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his achievements. Former Indian captain MS Dhoni has been criticized recently for his inconsistent form with the bat.

Makhaya Ntini has played under the captaincy of MS Dhoni in Chennai Super Kings in IPL and he knows why Dhoni is a world class player.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, the current bowling coach of Zimbabwe Ntini said, "You never doubt Dhoni. He can never be finished. That guy can take the game away any given time. You give him the game; he'll do what he wants to do. He's a legend. The moment you write him off, he rises up".

Ntini likewise lauded India's swing expert Bhuvneshwar Kumar and said that he will be India's trump card in English conditions, as he added, "You need to have Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the playing XI. If you don't have that little boy, you're missing the point. That young man, with the conditions that you'd be facing in England, he's No 1. He can swing the ball, he can do anything that he wants to with the ball".

The former pacer trusts that South Africa can likewise do well on the off chance that they will play to their capability of the squad, something that they have constantly thought that it was hard to do in ICC events. 

South Africa will begin their tournament battle today against Sri Lanka, a side that they have  clean swiped 5-0 in home conditions.
